mexico day 3.

One of our favorite days in mexico. We rode the local bus to a beach called Chileno to snorkel and lay in the sun for the afternoon. Dang, I've never seen so many fish before... and I swear some of them were smiling in the photos! These are the days when I'm grateful for cameras that can capture moments like this. We used our underwater camera more than we ever have during this trip. Missing the hot weather right about now!

On another note, we're back in Idaho to finish up school and we've moved into our own little place. We love calling something home! Apartment tour coming up as soon as we finish unpacking and decorating ;)

bloglovin bandwagon.

I'm so late on the Bloglovin bandwagon it's embarrassing. We all know Google Reader is shutting down soon *sniff sniff* and I'm slowly making the transition over to Bloglovin. Do you follow Note to Self over there? Do it, I dare you ;)

mexico day two (from tate's perspective).

Day two of our honeymoon in Mexico! We started the day off proper with a walk on the beach that ended with Allison buying one of the juiciest mango's on a stick that I have ever seen. After she finally finished pulling the mango pieces out of her teeth we went back into town to do a little souvenir shopping. We (I mean Allison) bought a bottle of pure Mexican vanilla, a few bracelets, and a piece of hand painted pottery that can be used for just about anything. After a late lunch of fish taco's and ceviche we headed to the pier to go on a sunset sailing cruise around the Sea of Cortez. We boarded a sailboat with a few other people and went to sea. The highlight of the cruise was seeing a seal sitting on top of a rock in the middle of the ocean, and encountering a pod of more than 300+ dolphins (according to our captain). I really enjoyed being out on the water and watching the sunset over the Baja peninsula, it was something completely new and unique and I would highly recommend it to anyone who visits Cabo San Lucas.

Cheers, Tate

honeymoon in mexico.

Day one of our honeymoon in Mexico! We stayed at the most relaxing hotel on the beach right outside of Cabo. It was quite and there weren't many people... which we liked! When we flew in we walked around the beach and snapped quite a few instax photos (I'll post all of those sometime next week). The next morning we rode the local bus to downtown Cabo and explored. Those fish tacos, the marina, the iguana that the locals call "the mexican lion"! Dang, we had such a good time.

tomorrow!

Things are wrapping up around here. I'm marrying my best friend tomorrow and I can't wait! My friends threw me a bridal shower in Seattle the other night and I still can't get over how fun it was (and  how good the homemade strawberry juice was!). Since then I've been making flower crowns like crazy and packing tiny presents for close friends and bridesmaids. This is really it guys! We're really looking forward to Mexico for our honeymoon. I won't be blogging this next week but I can promise I'll be back with a million instax photos to share from Cabo. Stay tuned!

get to know us.

Tate's so sweet! This video was put together for the bridal shower the other night so people could get to know him a little bit more. I had no idea it was coming so it was a huge surprise.  There was a game to it too; they'd pause at the question, I'd have to answer it first, and we'd compare how close our answers were to each other. We were both off on a few questions, but it was so fun!

insta adventure.

We love instant photos. I think Tate's favorite part about this camera is shaking the film (although I rarely let him do it!). Easter weekend was such a blast and I'm glad we have these photos to look back on. Not every photo turned out perfect, but I think that's the beauty of an instax.

easter weekend

We had the best weekend with Tate's family. His grandparents know what's up. They rented an entire schoolhouse for 30 people! No computers and not much cellphone service... which was exactly what I needed. We swam in hot springs, ate good meals, and had a massive Easter egg hunt after dark in the yard. There's never a dull moment with his family!
