the gum wall.
brick buildings.
love art.
Photos from the rest of the day in Seattle. Nothing's better than finding an old disposable camera with 27 exposures around the house and getting them developed later that day. There's a secret brick road right by the market called the "gum wall" where people stick gum blobs to the wall. Pretty germy, but a really cool idea. As we were walking to the bus to head back home I saw bright pink posters plastered to the wall: love art and share it with the world.
the summer in an instant.

Wow, looking at these instax photos have made me realize how time flies. It feels like yesterday that I was at the local pool at our cabin over the fourth of july, riding horses in yellowstone, and burrito dates at school. My instax film collection is getting bigger and I love looking at all of them hanging on my walls. The summer in an instant.
photobooth madness.
8.23.2012
One of my favorite things about being home is that Seattle is only a bus ride away. I love living in the suburbs but there's just something about the big city, you know? And with a day off of work we wanted to make the most of it. After a bunch of window shopping and picture taking with a disposable film camera (that's getting processed today) we discovered a game store with a photobooth. Best four dollars I've spent in a while.

Still drooling over these pictures that my boyfriend took while he was in Paris a couple of weeks ago. I've never been to Paris before, and now I'm itching more than ever to go. If you wanna see more pictures of this trip check out his sisters blog here. You'll probably be drooling over Paris too :)
inspiration, lately.

Because I can't get enough of geometric shapes, I made this with all of the photos I'm finding inspiring lately. A lot of different shades of green and pink, cool beading, sofas, fields. I'm ready for the fall but I find myself thinking about all of the summer activities I still need to cross off of my bucket list like hiking and lake swimming. Let's make the best out these last couple of weeks of summer!
the weekend.
8.20.2012

Saturday morning started with donuts at 6 in the morning and a two hour drive up the mountains to our little family cabin. We took an adventure into town for sandwiches, ice cream cones, window shopping. Every time we drive to town we pass this bright red barn with a huge flag and finally (after years of driving by), we stopped to take a few photos.
The weekend couldn't have been more perfect.

I've got typewriter love; it's a sick addiction. A while back I posted about that top left typewriter and promised I'd share the rest of them. I've had these in their boxes for the past couple of months, so bringing these gems back out is putting me in the best summer mood.
What do you collect?

Itching for a new blog design? Tanya and I have it covered. We've been scheming for a while and finally have a little design business together . Check out our page, Den of Thieves. We'd love to work with you!
my happy place.
8.13.2012
Had an uneventful weekend but maybe this week has more in store for me (although I'm stuck with a 40 hour work week). All I want to do lately is canoe and create geometric prints. I'd never thought I'd hear myself say this, but I'm actually excited for classes to start back up where I'll be working on endless graphic design projects. It's kind of my happy place.
p.s. Tanya and I are *super* excited to share a project we've been working on for a while now... stay tuned for tomorrow!
cleaning up.

purple wheels.
8.09.2012
I'm back in Seattle and the transition has been good so far. Cleared out my room of old stuff and clothes, and replaced empty space with a desk and new photos. Before I start working tomorrow at the local art supply store, I'm skating on these purple wheels and wishing I was on an roller derby team.
nostalgia.
8.06.2012
That bright sky and those green trees. Idaho, I miss you already. I'm feeling nostalgic for a place I haven't even left yet. Tomorrow I'm driving back to Seattle where I'll be living for the fall and I'm having mixed emotions. Happy, anxious, a little bit nervous. Wish me luck on this 14 hour venture home!
summers and smiles to the night.

Revisiting our favorite frozen dessert place and exploring Yellowstone more. This place is really something; the geysers, canyons, endless waterfalls. We have two more days left here so we're going to soak up the outdoors as much as possible. Hope you have a lovely weekend!
