I'm heading up to Yellowstone soon with my man and his family for a week and excited is an understatement. Horse back riding, river swimming, star gazing, lots of food. I'm hoping to post pictures while I'm up there but you know how family reunions are. If not, see you soon!

A little hike and picnic at Sundance? Yes please. I've been looking forward to this for a while now. We listened to M83 and Porcelain Raft while driving up the canyon and talked about love and friendships and how we actually miss that little town in Idaho where we went to school. It was kind of the perfect day.

grandmas home part two.

Just more pictures from grandmas home. Peach colored blankets and yellow striped walls, the lamp I've coveted since I can remember, nature walks. It's nice not having any commitments right now. Grandparents are the best.

the layered cake.

I haven't climbed in a while, but it was nice to get back on some rocks for the day. We hiked up rock canyon and chose the route "layered cake". The rocks were hot and my climbing skills are lacking (to say the least) but I had a really great time. This place is literally right behind my grandparents house so I might do a little more exploring/climbing/hiking/photo taking later.

grandmas home.

Another year of school finished. I feel good. I'm spending a week at my grandmas house and I'm excited to relax and hear her tell stories of when she was my age. I want everything in her home. The big bookshelves, the lacy curtains. The black and white photos of her and grandpa when they got married. This place brings back good memories.

I haven't been taking many pictures lately (very out of character) but hopefully I'll be finishing up a few adventures in this little town and documenting them before I move out at the end of this week. I'm going to miss this place; the nice weather, my crazy roommates, a daily routine. It feels like as soon as I'm starting to love it like crazy here it's time to go back home.

While I'm taking a break from my final graphic design projects for the semester I'm finding myself coveting these Dr. Marten's. Shoes should be the last thing on my mind right now, but at least the colors and patterns are inspiring me for my never-ending projects, right? (I'm attempting to justify my shoe addiction). frozen desserts.

It's hard to say no to a text that says "let's go get ice cream!!!". Not 5 minutes later we found ourselves at this italian-style ice cream truck. Verdict: the best frozen dessert I've had in a long time. I may never go back to sno-cones or slushies again.

When it's 90+ degrees and you're in a tiny town with nothing better to do... you hang out at the pool. The fact that it's one dollar to enter and just a bike ride away makes me want to spend every day of the summer here. I can't get over those green trees you can see while you're swimming (and that crappy red slide that makes me wish I was 8 again). I'm thinking it's time to start investing in an underwater camera...

getaway.

Here are a few photos from our getaway. I had the b.e.s.t week spending time with family up in Wallace. Antique shopping, parade watching, photo taking, malt-shake making, and butterfly chasing (literally). I think my favorite part was getting our house all decorated for the fourth. My mom and I might have a weakness for seasonal decorations... until next time, Wallace!

I hope you all had a great fourth of july. I'm sure having fun with my family at our little vacation home in Wallace, Idaho. Walking around town, riding bikes, swimming, and playing with smoke bombs with the sister-in-law. I'll definitely be sharing more photos of this trip after the weekend.

Meet my new polaroid camera that I snatched off of eBay for 20 bucks. So excited to use it! Is it weird that I name my cameras? maybe. I haven't ordered film yet but when I do I'll be sure to share the photos.

I'm driving up to Wallace, Idaho for the week to play with my family at our little vacation home. Can't wait to decorate the backyard, ride bikes around town, and eat huckleberry shakes once (or twice) a day. And spend time with family. Hope you have a happy fourth!

summer swimming.

 

We went to this placed called Monkey Rock for the first time over the weekend and I was impressed. I've been living here for almost a year and somehow I didn't know these beautiful places exist. Every time we got out of the car I debated bringing my camera or not but I knew I'd regret it if I left it. I know I'm no professional photographer (far from one, actually). But there's something about cameras that can capture small moments like this to look back on in 40 years... and that makes me happy. Moral of the story: bring your camera everywhere.
