bear world.

I just might explode. And yes, I'm smiling while I'm typing this. Tate and I went to Bear World this weekend after his race because it was the opening weekend and I heard there were baby bears. And if you know me, I like anything that's small and furry (it's almost a problem). Sooo we had to go.

baaaaby bear. my heart almost hurts because he's so cute.

this big guy came right up to our car and practically got his snot on the window.

deer smoochies.

Note to self: basically the weekend was bomb. I'm thinking I need to find some sort of connection to volunteer there so I can have an excuse to hang out with those animals and become a zoo lady who'd rather talk to animals than people....

a race weekend.

I saw my first cycling race this weekend and it was awesome! Kind of a different world and a little bit intimidating, but a.w.e.s.o.m.e. The race was in this super small town called Inkom literally in the middle of nowhere, but that's Idaho for you. haha.

Listening to Sigur Ros driving on this road=perfection.

hah this isn't my guy, but I thought this picture was interesting.

this is my guy. he looks gooood when he's racing.

Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of him actually racing (these are taken after) because I was a little lost and confused when it all started (that's pretty normal for me) but it was a good time. So glad he invited me to go! I think we're planning on going down to Utah this weekend for another race too. I feel like a groupie or something, but with bikes heh heh. I'm really liking this!

inspiration, lately.

that fantastic tent/home.
velvet couches and vintage chandeliers.
navajo textiles.
furry bunnies and baby bears.
isolated lakes.
camping under the stars.

MIA, apparently.

I've been dead in the blogging world for the past week. Missing in action, apparently. School has definitely got the best of me. Especially my graphic design classes. Time consuming, but oh so fun. I'm finding myself looking forward to going to class at 8 a.m. (yikes) to learn about indesign and photoshop, which is a good sign... right?

Anyways, we went to the dairy today and ate ice cream. We're trying to pretend that summer has already started...

this guy=extreme fun. always.

I'm extremely happy, to say the least.

explosions.

When I found out Explosions in the Sky were playing in Seattle, I knew we had to go. They're instrumental and the kind of band that make you want cry/scream/faint when they perform because they're so good. And you can tell they're extremely passionate about their music, which I really appreciate these days.

Isn't this beautiful? Over 100 years old! (moore theatre, in seattle)

Munaf r.e.a.l.l.y getting into it.

ohh just playing the guitar on the ground and adding really cool effects, no big deal (buuut really, it is).

My besties. Thanks to Bianca we always manage our way to the front row. Makes the experience that much more amazing!

Anyways, this is super chill music. Total silence to total violence.

one of each, please.

I could use all of these shoes in my wardrobe right about now. wood heels? yes. loafers? yes. flatforms? yes pleeaaase. Which one's your favorite?!

my obsession continues.

As you may know, I have this thing for flower crowns. I've made a few here, here, and here. I visited my old work today to make flower *headbands with my co-worker/friend, Rallison (short for Rachel+Allison), before she went on shift. We managed to take a few photos for the whole 5 minutes it wasn't raining today:

*I branched away from those crowns at least!

insert cheese-ball smile here...

Heh, I think my creepy bug shirt goes pretty well with the flower headband. I love crafting with friends, thanks Rachel! More flower headbands/crowns this summer? yes please.

half price books, according to my fisheye lens.

My friend and I are kind of into purchasing good reads. At school we'd find ourselves leaving our little town in search of used book stores. And what better place than Half Price Books? p.s. is this store just a North West thing?

So this is Half Price Books, according to my sad version of a fisheye lens. We could've spent hours in here (browsing and taking pictures), but instead we went to a super cheap American-Asian sushi restaurant, and I proceeded to avoid my unusual fear of seafood by ordering california rolls and edamame. Yay for good books and sushi!

see radiohead in concert. done.

I recently created a "40 before 20" list and one of my goals was to see radiohead live, probably my favorite band. done. I freaked out a little bit (okay maybe A LOT) during this concert. Ask her. But basically my life is complete now...

40 bucks well spent on a shirt that spells Radiohead backwards. It's fresh. But I'd probably give anything to be able to dance like Thom Yorke... he moves his hips like none other. And sings like a freaking genius. Best concert ever!

and then i woke up to...

this:

Casually woke up this morning ready to take one last final and peeked out of my blinds to see it's a blizzard out there. And doesn't look like it's stopping anytime soon. Yesterday I was wearing sandals... and a dress. I definitely live on the strangest place on earth. And I was hoping to start my voyage back home to Seattle today. Dear Rexburg weather, way to ruin my travel plans.

But besides that, happy friday! I hope the weather is absolutely beautiful where you live. I dare you to dye Easter eggs this weekend with your family. And if you successfully put glitter inside, let me know:

i can already see the moon.

Even though it's been ridiculously windy here in Rexburg, a few of us wanted to have a campfire at the St. Anthony sand dunes. My camera died while we were there (this would happen to me) but we managed to take a couple of interesting photos:

my sad attempt at a handstand...

I've been trying to find an excuse to use this Pendleton blanket. It didn't work out. Maybe next time when there's not so much wind with 100% sand flying everywhere.

note to self: maybe mother nature got me this time with all that wind.... but this summer I am determined to sleep under the stars at these dunes (and I'm bringing that blanket!)

my happy little weekend.

blue skies.
studded shoes.
macho burritos.
bowling.
cool lights.
midnight blizzards.

Well this weekend was a.m.a.z.i.n.g. Finally saw the Hunger Games (took me long enough!) and I  spent time with my two good friends from back home as our last weekend together, since they won't be at school next semester in order to prepare for their missions. I'm going to miss them for sure! Those pictures above are what happens when you steal your friends iPhone because you don't have the instagram app on your own. Or in other words, you don't have an iPhone.

note to self: remember to bring socks next time I go bowling.... yeah. that happened. Let's just say this experience has probably made my feet immune to just about anything now!
